I have started loving to paint portraits which is a challenge I have accepted. Just like the  playful smile on the kid's face  I am liking  to use my fingers instead of brush. I do use brush  when it comes to minute details like eyes. The loose, undisciplined strokes on canvas with a splash of contrast color here and there, appeals to me .

Plan for 2016.....by Manisha Vedpathak

Last year saw ample of ups and downs due to our relocation.
I was partly busy in getting settled ,partly busy with my art bussiness.
All in all, not a very satisfactory year as concerned with my art,
though I did touch a milestone by having my first exhibition in India and
had a satisfactory sale of my paintings. But I did not create much.
Hope to have a bright 2016. This year planning to paint
quite regularly. Get in touch with galleries in other cities
in India. May God give me strength to reach my goals.

"Simplicity"...an abstract by Manisha Vedpathak

The last painting I did was somewhere in the end of September.
After that  I got  busy with the exhibition and then the Diwali
festival. The canvases I ordered arrived two weeks back, since
then I had a strong urge of painting but could not find lone time
to paint. I prefer to be alone with only my music, when I paint.
Finally yesterday, determined to finish the painting in one day,
started with a brush, a  sponge and my color palette, without any
preconceived idea and here is the outcome. Though this is very
much out of my style ,loved the simplicity the painting shows.
The painting is signed on the back so as to enable the painting to
be oriented in any way depending on what best fits the wall.
