My curatorial exhibition themed 'MIGRATION" ...by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

The three days annual show of my curating team Art Lane, held under the platform Kalagoshthi 20-21 themed 'MIGRATION' , at the wonderful venue of The Poona Western Club was inaugurated by contemporary artist Mr. Sudhir Patwardhan on 30th January and concluded on 1st February. It was yet another successful event amidst warm atmosphere . This was my second year as a curator and have immensely enjoyed the process.

Art Lane is thankful to all the talented artists who participated in our grand event. This wouldn't have been possible without the support of The PWC management staff and ever enthusiastic volunteers. A Special thanks to Abhijit Jagtap, Director of The Poona Western Club and CEO Akshay Shahane . we are also thankful to the visiting art lovers and enthusiastic visitors for making the event lively and successful.

Here are some of the snaps of the exhibition.

'Afloat'...an abstract by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

I am getting busier as the date for our curated exhibition is getting closer. Also my daughters who were with us for last few months will be leaving soon. I am trying to collect as much memories as possible so I can cherish these when they are not with me.

I enjoyed the last two paintings so much that when I saw this long canvas , I decided to paint the same concept in a horizontal orientation. Would like to know from my readers if they liked this painting.

"Gratitude" .....by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

Over the last few months the world has changed dramatically. There is so much of uncertainty everywhere. In these last few months I have fallen considerably behind on all levels . I did paint during initial lockdown but then stopped due to health issues. As the things are coming back to normal , my health and my mind is also improving. I have started taking interest again in painting and my curatorial works. My curatorial team Art lane has been curating an exhibition themed ' Migration' which will take place on 30th Jan - 1st Feb 2021. Will be busy with that this whole month.

As we closed down on dreadful 2020 year and entered a new 2021 year every one is much eager to have a normal life though now it's a new normal. I reflect back on my blog posts, with 299th post I am truly thankful to those who have stopped by, had a look at my artworks and also found time to read my thoughts. I am specially grateful to those who have chosen to follow. I look forward to continue sharing our art and ideas and our personal stories. I have enjoyed all the blogs that I have followed , some gave me knowledge, some inspiration and some guidance.

My Gratitude is towards all those present in the blogesphere.

I wish you all a very happy and artful New Year.

"Reflection in a glass", an abstract by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

Have started a new painting, again in the Reflection series but this time it is reflection in a glass. Have finished the undertone. This canvas was been painted before, only a blue wash was given and was left  half way. You can see the blue colour through the whites. I am actually liking it. Though it may not be seen after adding the layers . Let's see how it goes.

"Lock down photography" by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

The beauty is in everything and is always there day in day out right there in front of you , even in your kitchen. I have always been fascinated by the flow of water and the reflections in it.Have tried to capture the fleeting moments of my time at my kitchen platform.
