Both my babies( though not babies anymore) have left their nest. One is in Rotterdam doing her BBA and elder one shifted to Bangalore for a new job. My husband and I will be travelling frequently now. There is this group called Artlane founded by Smita Raje Deshpande and Vaishali Rajapurkar who curates an annual exhibition under the name Kalagoshthi. Last year I had participated in their exhibition which was a collaboration of visual and verbal artist.

Phoenix Womens Art Camp.....by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

Posting about the Artist Camp quite a late as I was busy packing for my travel to Rotterdam right after the camp.
Today I am posting from Rotterdam.
It was a wonderful experience while painting live at Phoenix Womens Art Camp. We were 10 artists from our city Pune. Wonderful arrangement by IGA Galleria and the Phoenix mall. Had fun painting as well as interacting with viewers passing by. We painted 2 canvases. I chose African theme. I was surprised by myself with stamina specially with the recently diagnosed Rheumatoid.
Here are some of the pics:

Participation in an Artist Camp......by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

I have been invited for an Artist Camp in Phoenix market city which is a mall in my city Pune.
This camp is organised by IGA Galleria which is a design firm from Pune. Here is what they say about this camp:
IGA Galleria is collaborating with Phoenix Market City Mall to host 'Phoenix Women’s Art Camp' that will see ten Pune-based women artists paint artworks at the mall between 6th and 10th March 2019. The aim of 'Phoenix Women's Art Camp' is to bring art and artists out from studios and galleries to a public space that is visited by hundreds of people, of different age-groups and professions, each day. The initiative will thus bring art and the process of painting to mall goers who can watch the artists mix colours, render brush strokes and create compositions before their eyes. Viewers may also interact with artists about the work and process.

Abstracts by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

6 more new stretched canvases have arrived for my Reflection series. Have taken a break before I start with them. One more in this series is ready but I am not posting it as I have to do a little finishing touches. Have taken a break from it and did these two pieces. Didn't have any preconceived idea . Went on poring color and adding shapes, colors , forms and texture. And the outcome is here. Haven't given any title yet.
