"Reflection VI"....an abstract by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

Since my dimples only appear whenever I smile,
facing everything in life with that smile is a wonderful feeling.
Eyes are also the window to one's self.
Just a look can reflect your identity and experiences.

Painting taking shape....an abstract by Manisha Vedpathak

Take time to stop today
Take time to stop a while
Reflect on how life changes
Then take the time to smile......

The next one in the reflection series is taking shape slowly.

"Reflection V"......an abstract by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

Water....The mirror of the nature

Only one can see what
is shown in the mirror of
water you see, it's their
own reflection that they see
to show them what life
has been made for thee....

I came across these lines on the net and thought that these were apt for my Reflection paintings.

After satisfying my thirst of finger painting with the creation of two gorgeous floral abstracts ,I am back to my Reflection series fully fresh and rejuvenated. I had completed half of the painting when I took a break from it. Here is the completed artwork.

Floral Abstract....by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

Sometimes I feel an urge to paint with my fingers. Especially when I come across some of my old finger paintings. Today I was going through some of my small old paintings as I wish to participate in the Art week festival that will be held in my city, Pune. So I came across this flower vase...
I then planned to do new floral abstracts. Flowers have so magnificent colors. They are the colorful beauty of nature. I loved how my fingers danced on the canvas and how the colors have mingled with each other. I finished two and thoroughly enjoyed doing it. It was so stress free. I had been doing the reflection series which has these small dots or points which is very intricate and I needed time to restore , heal and start again. So these two pieces were like rejuvenation for me. I feel so fresh looking at them and I am sure my viewers will also feel the same.

When I finished giving dots all over, I first thought that I finished the painting. But after staring at it from far, I wasn't satisfied as the reflection of a part of the building that is seen on left side of the painting, didn't seem right to me . So I decided to reduce the reflection and continue with the water . and here is the finished painting. I hope it is looking good now.

Reflection series. Painting in process....by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

A selfie with painting in process in the backdrop.

Initially had a plan to keep the bottom white but then changed the plan and painted blue water.
