Protect your King ....the game of chess!! - An acrylic painting

Protect your King....the game of chess
Acrylic on canvas,27.55" * 34.25"
I am sure many of you are  familiar with the game of chess.
Did you know that chess was originated in India.
It was called CHATURANGA.
Chatur meaning four and anga meaning parts. The
game was in fact a battleplan drawn on a smaller
scale to find out ways and means of outsmarting
the enemy. The king is the most important piece.
Although he has limited mobility,if your king is
captured  you loose the game.An empire is defeated
when the emperor is captured. Therefore the king
has to be protected or you loose the game.
