Inspired by rustling trees....by Indian visual artist Manisha Vedpathak

My favorite thing to do in a moving car ( no, not while driving of course) is to capture rustling trees in my phone camera which become the subject of my art.
Do comment if you like these works.

"Meditative Process".....imaginative abstract landscapes by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

I have been enjoying the process of painting my recent series. I use collaged papers on the canvas. I create shapes and forms around and in between these collaged pieces keeping my theme of Secret Garden in mind. Painting around creating shapes, covering shapes, excavating shapes to reveal new shapes. Its a meditative process. The interaction between these shapes is what I find most exciting.
I find myself having  conversations with my works while its in process. I have loved the end results and I feel that the viewers will also enjoy these paintings.

"Enchanted ".....an abstract painting by Indian visual artist Manisha Ved[pathak

I feel magic here in the enchanted forest. The woods invite me into themselves so that I am drawn out of myself. This painting of enchanted forest draws your attention , makes you wrap yourself in a cozy blanket , get a cup of warm tea and enjoy the calmness.

This time I used round canvases and I really enjoyed this shape. These will fit well on both coloured and white wall, framed or unframed.
Feel enchanted!

(Sorry for the bad images, will post better ones very soon)

Reflections in acrylic medium by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

I started the Reflection series in Indian ink medium. Unfortunately I found ink fading slightly on the canvas. May be as I was using pointillism technique , the upper layer of dots was with very little ink on the brush. After a little research and also after I contacted the company who manufactured the ink , I now have decided to shift to acrylic instead of ink on canvas. I will still continue using ink on paper.
Here are the two towers I created with acrylic medium only. In future I may try to combine ink with acrylic.

Abstracts by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

6 more new stretched canvases have arrived for my Reflection series. Have taken a break before I start with them. One more in this series is ready but I am not posting it as I have to do a little finishing touches. Have taken a break from it and did these two pieces. Didn't have any preconceived idea . Went on poring color and adding shapes, colors , forms and texture. And the outcome is here. Haven't given any title yet.

"Reflection VI"....an abstract by Indian artist Manisha Vedpathak

Since my dimples only appear whenever I smile,
facing everything in life with that smile is a wonderful feeling.
Eyes are also the window to one's self.
Just a look can reflect your identity and experiences.
-- Liu Wen
6th in the line completed from the series of Reflection.

Painting taking shape....an abstract by Manisha Vedpathak

Take time to stop today
Take time to stop a while
Reflect on how life changes
Then take the time to smile......

The next one in the reflection series is taking shape slowly.

Exhibition in Rotterdam.....by Indian abstract artist Manisha Vedpathak

Have been away from my blog for really long time. Had a marriage in the family , my younger daughter joined Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Holland. Had been with her in Rotterdam for a month. During that time I met a very warm personality Zoe  Cochia, when I visited her gallery Niffo Galerie/ Recycle studio . Here are some pics taken in her Gallery .

I found her Galerie very interesting and active. She gave me an opportunity to exhibit in her group show themed ,"Potato..Home coming", which  was held on 7th Oct'2018. I wasn't able to attend the show as I had already returned to India but I handed over two of my small paintings to her which were exhibited in the show. Here are the two paintings:

It's a small 20x20 cms , ink medium on canvas. The theme being potato, the two potatoes in the painting represent me and my younger daughter who is studying in Rotterdam and the blue water represents Holland which is famous for it's canals . The symbols in the painting are the adinkra symbol Gye Nyame, which is for supreme God.
